Includes many gems, such as Rian Johnson's fake trailer for his film Looper, made before the film went into production:

For the issues addressed in the writing assignments Media Archaeology I, II and III, some reading is certainly be helpful.
An interesting article is 'A Taxonomy of Digital Video Remixing: Contemporary Found Footage Practice on the Internet' by Eli Horwatt.

Another must-read is Jaimie Baron's text on the 'The Archive Effect: Archival footage as an experience of reception'.

Everything is a remix

Kirby Ferguson's online video series, "Everything is a remix", contains is inspirational in both its form, and the ideas it presents. He is now working on a new project, so don't (or do) let yourself be distracted: you can watch the original videos here.

Kogonada

 :: kogonada is a filmmaker who makes very beautiful films essays. As he mostly uses clips from fiction films, he is not a found footage filmmaker pur sang.
